Specializing in vibrant, lived-in colour and professionally-installed hair extensions, the Solace team is known for results that look great and last.

Co-owned by stylists Kayla Erskine and Malyssa Burns, Solace is the product of a strong professional partnership and a clear, shared vision. Their focus has always been on creating an environment where clients feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely cared for. As they put it, “People can be intimidated when they walk into a hair salon, and we just want them to feel at home. We want our guests to find their solace.” Part of building this kind of environment is supporting stylists to do their best work—and the partners are quick to point out that it’s their creative and dedicated stylists that truly make Solace the success it is.

When Sidewalk shared the Tel Lofts space online, the team knew instantly it was the one—no second showings needed. Proud to be part of downtown Dartmouth’s growth, the Solace team plans to put down roots here, creating beautiful hair and a little calm for years to come.
